Richfield Collector Cars
A cinematic, trust-driven website built for Richfield Collector Cars — an Edmonton classic car dealer, designed for Instagram-style inventory browsing and volume-first photography.

Richfield had a strong inventory and reputation but a digital presence that made browsing feel like work. Buyers had to click through filters and hover states just to see a price, and the site didn't reflect how collectors actually shop — scrolling continuously, judging cars by volume of photos and video, not curated hero shots. The build also carried a hard technical constraint: CMS doesn't bind array fields directly to code components, which broke every early attempt at a proper per-vehicle photo gallery. The system needed to support 100-300 photos per car, work automatically the moment a new vehicle was added to the CMS, and never require Richard's team to touch code.
We built CMS collection — a linked "Vehicle Photos" list feeding a custom fullscreen, keyboard-navigable lightbox — solving the gallery problem the external-component route couldn't. The inventory grid was rebuilt as a continuous, filter-free scroll modeled, with price, stock number, and specs visible on every card with no hover or click required. A standard video structure was defined for every vehicle — walk-around, call to action, showroom tour, drive footage, underneath/lift tour, final call to action — and real dealership photography was pulled in as the primary image source, with AI/stock only as fallback. The result reads the way Richard described the experience he wanted: "the cars are the stars."

Richfield now has an inventory experience built around trust and volume instead of clicks — every listing surfaces price and specs immediately, photo galleries run 100-300 images deep per vehicle without feeling broken, and new inventory goes live the moment it's added to the CMS, with zero extra technical steps for Richard's team.
